Supervision for Drama Therapy

Students & Professionals

I am a Registered Drama Therapist and Board Certified Trainer who provides supervision for drama therapy students and professionals. This includes the following:

  • Students on the Alternative Track training towards becoming an RDT
  • Drama therapists who have graduated and are earning hours towards the RDT credential
  • Drama therapists who are new in the field and would like guidance on strengthening their work

About My Supervision Approach

I aim to be a warm, supportive supervisor so that supervisees feel safe sharing both celebrations and mistakes (or what I see as lessons) with me. I strive to help supervisees feel confident and capable in taking healthy risks with their work.

I value mutual trust, mutual respect, and honesty in the supervision relationship.

I enjoy working with supervisees who are curious, open, and passionate (especially about drama therapy!).

I incorporate creative arts into supervision sessions, as I think it’s important for us to process supervision matters in the modality that we work in. I also like to incorporate nature into sessions since it helps with connection, meaning, and other important aspects of our work.

I enjoy sharing education about various psychology and mental health topics, especially ones that I wish I had known about when I was a new drama therapist.

I trained in Role Method at NYU’s master’s program but consider myself eclectic in my approach. I discovered drama therapy in my mid-teen years and have been extremely passionate (and nerdy!) about it since then.
