My interview on the Finding Your Way Through Therapy podcast went live this week!
Even though I’ve done several podcast interviews about drama therapy, this one is unique in that guest host Courtney (who is a dance/movement therapist!) asked me to speak about common misperceptions about the creative arts therapies. We talked about points I address in this article I wrote a few years ago. We also talked about drama therapy concepts such as:
- Roles/parts
- Aesthetic distance, and it’s relation to the Window of Tolerance
- Containment
- Rituals
I’m so pleased that Courtney is doing a series of interviews about the creative arts therapies. So far there has been one about dance/movement therapy, and there’s at least an upcoming one about music therapy. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re curious to learn more about the creative arts therapies!
